About the role
As a Senior SAP SD & RFID Test Analyst - Retail, you will make an impact by supporting a critical SAP RFID implementation for a global retail client. You will be a valued member of a cross‑functional delivery team, working closely with business SMEs, functional consultants, developers, and test leadership to ensure high‑quality delivery across SAP S/4HANA environments and integrated business processes.
In this role, you will:
- Partner with business SMEs and SAP functional teams to understand requirements and review functional, technical, and design documents (BDD, FDD, TDD, mappings).
- Develop and maintain test strategy and test plan documents for SAP RFID initiatives.
- Translate business and functional requirements into detailed test scenarios and test cases supporting functional, system integration, regression, and end‑to‑end testing.
- Execute test scripts, analyze results, and validate end‑to‑end order‑to‑cash (OTC) business processes.
- Manage defects by documenting issues, supporting defect triage, executing retests, and ensuring timely closure.
- Maintain requirement traceability using RTMs and provide accurate test metrics and daily status updates to test leadership.
- Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies, and collaborate with onshore and offshore team members to ensure timely and high‑quality deliverables.

What you need to have to be considered
- 8+ years of experience testing SAP applications, with strong hands‑on experience in SAP SD and integrations with MM, FICO, PP, or related modules.
- 3+ years of dedicated experience testing SAP RFID solutions, with a solid understanding of end‑to‑end OTC business flows and integration points.
- Experience leading or supporting testing efforts in S/4HANA environments, including ECC to S/4HANA migration or S/4HANA implementation projects.
- Strong understanding of the software test lifecycle (STLC) and experience creating key QA deliverables such as test strategy, test plans, and RTMs.
- Ability to analyze SAP configurations and ABAP‑related issues to assist in identifying root causes of defects.
- Hands‑on experience with test management tools such as HP ALM, Jira, Azure DevOps, or qTest, and familiarity with automation tools including UFT, Tosca, or Worksoft.
- Strong communication skills with experience collaborating directly with clients, business stakeholders, and distributed teams.

- Prior experience in a test lead capacity on SAP programs.
- Knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- SAP or S/4HANA SD certification.
- Experience coordinating testing activities across global or offshore delivery teams.
Total compensation
We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between $78,880 – 127,500 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
