About the Role
Cognizant is seeking an experienced SAP BTP Platform Developer to join our digital transformation team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), SAP UI5/Fiori development, SAP Cloud Foundry, portal development, and enterprise integrations. This role will be responsible for designing and developing cloud-based applications, driving process automation initiatives, and collaborating with business and IT stakeholders to deliver innovative SAP solutions.
In this role you will
- Design, develop, and maintain SAP UI5/Fiori applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
- Develop custom UI5 components and reusable frameworks on SAP Cloud Platform.
- Build, configure, and support custom websites, enterprise portals, and cloud-based business applications.
- Work with business users to identify opportunities for process automation and operational efficiency improvements.
- Define and support the evolution of enterprise process automation roadmaps.
- Develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) and innovative cloud-based solutions.
- Manage SAP Cloud Portal Service administration and development activities.
- Build, configure, and brand portal sites and associated assets.
- Create and maintain portal pages, roles, widgets, themes, and content transport procedures.
- Develop solutions using SAP Business Application Studio.
- Design and implement integrations between SAP and non-SAP applications.
- Support application security requirements and system integration initiatives.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to deliver scalable cloud solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend proactive system improvements to enhance business outcomes.
- Provide ongoing production support and perform other duties as assigned.

What you need to have to be considered
- 6+ years of experience in SAP Cloud Platform, SAP BTP, or SAP UI5/Fiori development.
- Strong hands-on experience developing SAP UI5 and Fiori applications.
- Experience developing custom UI5 frameworks and cloud-native applications on SAP BTP.
- Experience developing applications using SAP Business Application Studio.
- Expertise in SAP Cloud Portal Service Administration and Development.
- Strong experience with SAP Cloud Foundry.
- Good understanding of SAP BTP services, capabilities, and architecture.
- Experience integrating SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, REST APIs, and OData services.
- Experience working with Portal Applications, Content Management Systems, AJAX, XML, and related web technologies.
- Experience supporting multi-browser environments.
- Knowledge of application security and enterprise integration best practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment.

- Strong portal branding, theming, and content management experience.

- Experience with Portal Development Kit (PDK).
- High-Tech industry experience.
- Experience delivering large-scale SAP cloud transformation programs.
- Leadership experience and ability to mentor junior developers.

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $83,600 - $129,500, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
