Position Summary:
•Hands on DevOps subject matter expert, designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and platform automation used by multiple delivery teams.
•Lead technical implementation and troubleshooting across DevOps platforms, resolving complex build, deployment, security, and runtime issues in cloud native and containerized environments.
•Develop, maintain, and evolve reusable automation, templates, and reference implementations to improve consistency, reliability, and speed of delivery.
•Partner closely with engineers, SRE, and security teams to embed DevSecOps practices into pipelines, including automated testing, security scanning, secrets management, and compliance controls.
•Drive continuous improvement through code, proactively identifying toil, performance bottlenecks, and reliability gaps, and implementing automation first solutions.
Mandatory Skills:
•Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD engineering, including building and maintaining pipelines using modern CI tools like Github Actions and integrating testing, security, and deployment automation.
•Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code and automation, using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent, with experience managing environments end to end through code.
•Deep expertise in cloud native and container platforms, including Kubernetes, Postman, Docker container runtimes, and associated deployment and operational patterns.
•Strong, hands-on experience with configuration management using Chef and Ansible to automate, manage, and maintain infrastructure and application configurations at scale.
•Practical DevSecOps experience, embedding security controls such as secrets management, vulnerability scanning, policy enforcement, and compliance checks directly into pipelines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Operate and improve CI/CD pipelines daily across Jenkins, Bamboo, Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions—building/maintaining pipeline templates, improving reliability, reducing build times, and resolving recurring pipeline failures.
•Own Terraform Enterprise (TFE) operational support and lifecycle tasks: environment configuration, upgrades and dependency alignment (e.g., Docker / Redis / PostgreSQL), service restarts, and run/workspace issue triage in partnership with engineering teams
•Deliver secure automation using Vault Day to day: implement and support certificate/secrets consumption patterns (including Terraform-based workflows), and troubleshoot access/consumption issues with application teams
•Build and maintain configuration management & orchestration automation using Chef and Ansible: develop reusable cookbooks/playbooks, manage changes through controlled releases, and support teams during onboarding and execution issues
•Enable Infrastructure as Code quality at scale: contribute to or support automated testing/validation approaches for Terraform modules and delivery artifacts and help teams adopt standardised patterns to publish safely and consistently.
Qualifications & Certifications (Optional):
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience in DevOps / platform engineering roles.
