Job Summary
This hybrid Technology Specialist role focuses on designing implementing and optimizing accessibility solutions for life and annuities insurance platforms using NVDA JAWS remediation services and HTML. The specialist will collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure digital experiences meet accessibility standards and deliver inclusive customer journeys in a day shift environment without travel requirements.
Responsibilities
- Drive implementation of accessibility features across life and annuities insurance platforms using NVDA JAWS and HTML to deliver inclusive digital experiences that meet enterprise accessibility goals.
- Ensure comprehensive screen reader compatibility by analyzing user flows with NVDA and JAWS and recommending targeted enhancements that improve usability for customers with diverse abilities.
- Execute detailed remediation services for existing web assets and policy servicing applications by identifying accessibility gaps and applying structured fixes that align with recognized accessibility practices.
- Optimize HTML structures including headings landmarks forms and interactive elements to create robust semantic foundations that improve navigation and understanding for screen reader users.
- Conduct end to end accessibility testing on new and existing insurance journeys such as quoting onboarding servicing and claims to validate compliance and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with product owners designers developers and testers in a hybrid work model to embed accessibility requirements into backlogs and technical specifications from early design stages.
- Provide clear documentation of accessibility findings remediation steps and best practice guidelines to support consistent adoption across multiple product teams and technology stacks.
- Advise teams on integrating accessibility checks into continuous integration workflows by defining repeatable test scenarios for NVDA JAWS and HTML validation tools.
- Monitor accessibility incident reports and customer feedback to identify recurring issues and drive data informed improvements that enhance trust and brand reputation in the insurance market.
- Support knowledge sharing by explaining accessibility concepts to peers and stakeholders and by showcasing how inclusive design practices strengthen business outcomes and social impact.
- Align daily tasks and deliverables with regulatory and industry accessibility expectations for life and annuities insurance ensuring that customer communications policy documents and portals remain usable for all.
- Coordinate with operations and support teams in day shift schedules to troubleshoot accessibility issues reported by internal users and customers and to provide timely resolution paths.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of accessibility frameworks by suggesting refinements to coding standards design patterns and testing guidelines that reinforce long term inclusivity.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate strong practical proficiency in NVDA and JAWS including configuration troubleshooting and interpretation of screen reader behaviors across different insurance workflows.
- Show advanced hands on experience in accessibility remediation services for complex web applications and documents within life and annuities insurance environments.
- Apply solid HTML skills with an emphasis on semantic markup forms tables and dynamic content handling to ensure compatibility with screen readers and other assistive technologies.
- Bring deep domain understanding of life and annuities insurance products processes and terminology enabling accurate mapping of accessibility needs to business journeys.
- Utilize effective communication and collaboration capabilities to work with cross functional stakeholders in a hybrid setup while articulating accessibility requirements in clear actionable language.
- Leverage analytical and problem solving skills to interpret accessibility test results prioritize remediation tasks and balance usability improvements with delivery timelines.
- Exhibit professional experience in hybrid work models and day shift operations with the ability to manage time independently and coordinate seamlessly with distributed teams.
