About the role
As a Senior SDET – Playwright & Selenium Test Automation, you will make an impact by designing and implementing scalable test automation solutions that improve software quality, accelerate release cycles, and support continuous delivery. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and work collaboratively with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage and high-quality application delivery.
In this role, you will:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright, Selenium for web application testing.
Build and execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end test automation solutions across multiple applications and platforms.
Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and support faster, more reliable releases.
Analyze test results, identify defects, and partner with development teams to drive timely defect resolution.
Improve automation coverage, framework reusability, testing efficiency, and quality metrics through continuous process improvements.

What you need to have to be considered
7+ years of strong hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Selenium test automation.
Proficiency in Java for test automation framework development and maintenance.
Experience with automation tools such as AccelQ, Cypress, and Cucumber.
Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing methodologies.
Experience in test case design, execution, defect management, and quality assurance best practices.
These will help you stand out
Experience integrating automation frameworks with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Knowledge of API testing and service validation.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
Exposure to performance testing tools and methodologies.
Experience within the Healthcare domain.

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $53,477 to $92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
