Job Summary
This role focuses on delivering accurate and timely policy servicing support for Property and Casualty insurance products within a structured office based night shift environment. The specialist uses strong MS Office skills to manage policy documentation data updates and reporting ensuring high quality service for internal teams and external stakeholders while maintaining compliance with organizational standards and industry regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage end to end policy servicing activities by updating policy records endorsements cancellations and renewals in designated systems using advanced MS Office skills to maintain accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Execute detailed data entry and validation for policy information to reduce errors and rework relying on strong spreadsheet and document management capabilities for reliable insurance operations.
- Prepare clear and well structured policy related documentation summaries and status reports using word processing and presentation tools to support internal reviews and client facing communication.
- Monitor workflow queues and task trackers during night shift operations using MS Office based logs to ensure timely completion of service requests and adherence to defined service level commitments.
- Coordinate with underwriting claims and customer support teams through structured email communication and shared workbooks to resolve policy servicing issues and maintain aligned information across functions.
- Analyze recurring servicing defects and discrepancies by reviewing historical data in spreadsheets to suggest process improvements that enhance quality consistency and turnaround time.
- Maintain comprehensive audit trails and reference files in organized folders and worksheets to support compliance audits and internal quality checks for policy servicing activities.
- Apply knowledge of insurance terminology and coverage structures to interpret policy change requests thereby ensuring that updates entered into systems accurately reflect the intended contractual changes.
- Adhere to documented standard operating procedures and regulatory guidelines while performing day to day servicing tasks thereby supporting risk control and dependable customer outcomes.
- Support night shift operations by proactively planning and sequencing tasks using checklists and trackers to manage workload and avoid bottlenecks and missed deadlines.
- Respond to internal stakeholder queries on policy servicing status through data backed updates using search and filter functions in spreadsheets to quickly locate and verify information.
- Contribute to team level knowledge repositories by documenting recurring scenarios and resolutions in shared documents thereby helping colleagues handle similar cases with greater consistency.
- Participate in periodic performance and quality reviews by providing accurate metrics extracted from MS Office based reports thereby enabling supervisors to track progress and identify improvement areas.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in MS Office tools including spreadsheet management document formatting and presentation preparation to effectively handle data heavy insurance servicing tasks.
- Bring practical experience in managing structured back office or operations processes for three to five years showing ability to work with repetitive yet detail oriented workflows.
- Show familiarity with Property and Casualty insurance concepts such as policy coverage deductibles and limits enabling more precise interpretation of servicing requests and documentation.
- Display capability in handling night shift work schedules with consistent productivity maintaining attention to detail and quality even during extended hours.
- Exhibit effective written communication skills for email coordination and documentation ensuring that policy servicing updates are clearly captured and easily understood by colleagues.
- Apply analytical thinking to review policy data for anomalies using functions and formulas in spreadsheets to identify outliers and potential error patterns for corrective action.
- Demonstrate organized work habits through use of structured folders file naming conventions and version control in documents enabling efficient retrieval and reduced confusion.

Certifications Required
