About the Role
As a Salesforce QA Engineer, you will make an impact by ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of Salesforce applications and integrations across the enterprise ecosystem. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and work collaboratively with Salesforce Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality, defect-free solutions.
In This Role, You Will:
Design and execute comprehensive test strategies for Salesforce applications, integrations, and business processes.
Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java or Python.
Validate Salesforce configurations, including custom objects, fields, Lightning components, workflows, and security settings.
Perform functional, regression, smoke, API, and integration testing to ensure successful releases.
Collaborate with development and business teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
Test REST and SOAP API integrations and validate end-to-end data flows across connected systems.
Analyze test results, track defects, and provide quality metrics and recommendations for continuous improvement.

What You Need to Have to Be Considered
7+ years of hands-on experience testing Salesforce platforms, including Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, custom objects, fields, page layouts, Lightning components, and user security models.
Experience configuring Salesforce environments, including profiles, roles, permission sets, and flow automations.
Proven expertise in test automation using Selenium WebDriver with Java or Python.
Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs and third-party integrations using tools such as Postman.
Strong knowledge of test planning, test case design, regression testing, and defect management.
Experience validating data using SOQL and SQL queries.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
These Will Help You Stand Out
Salesforce Certified Administrator certification.
Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder certification.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing best practices.
Experience testing complex enterprise applications and integrations across multiple systems.

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $ 53,477 to $ 104,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
