About the role
As a Project Manager, you will make an impact by leading complex technology initiatives that drive business value and support critical healthcare solutions. You will be a valued member of the project delivery team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and leadership to successfully deliver strategic programs and projects.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT projects and programs while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Build and manage cross-functional project teams, identify required resources, and develop realistic project plans and schedules.
- Partner with stakeholders to establish project scope, priorities, success criteria, and communication strategies.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies to maintain delivery timelines and quality standards.
- Oversee program-level coordination across multiple interrelated projects, ensuring integration, governance, and long-term business value realization.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring attendance at a client or Cognizant office in Woodland Hills, California.

What you need to have to be considered
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong project management experience leading complex IT projects and programs.
- Extensive knowledge of PMI project management methodologies and best practices.
- Experience working within SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environments.
- Experience in the healthcare or health solutions industry.
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships and driving successful project outcomes.
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Knowledge of project governance, risk management, and issue resolution practices.
- Familiarity with SQL and technology development tools and platforms.
These will help you stand out
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent credential.
- Experience managing large-scale healthcare technology transformations.
- Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) frameworks.
- Experience leading multi-project programs with complex cross-functional dependencies.
- Strong executive communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $110,000 - $135,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
