About the role
As a Technical Analyst, you will make an impact by ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of critical enterprise applications. You will provide production support, manage incident and change processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and drive continuous service improvements. You will be a valued member of the Cloud Infrastructure and Security team and work collaboratively with the Manager.
In this role, you will
• Provide Level 2 production support for enterprise applications, ensuring high availability and operational stability.
• Monitor application performance, perform initial troubleshooting, and help resolve production incidents within established SLA commitments.
• Manage and support ITSM processes, including Incident Management, Change Management, and Knowledge Management activities.
• Execute, monitor, and troubleshoot batch jobs using ZEKE Scheduler or equivalent enterprise scheduling tools.
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and coordinate with Level 3 support and application teams to implement long-term resolutions.
• Support production deployments, change implementations, and post-release validation activities.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery planning, execution, testing, and recovery efforts to ensure business continuity.
• Develop and maintain operational runbooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge articles.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application development, and business teams during major incidents and service restoration activities.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, monitoring, and support processes.
Work model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 4 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Mississauga, ON.

What you need to have to be considered
• 2+ years of experience supporting IBM Mainframe applications in a production environment.
• 2+ years of experience working with ZEKE Scheduler or comparable enterprise workload automation tools.
• Hands-on experience with ITSM processes, including Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, troubleshooting, and production support activities.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve production issues efficiently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
These will help you stand out
• Experience supporting high-volume, business-critical applications in a 24x7 production environment.
• Experience in financial services, insurance, or other highly regulated enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with disaster recovery, batch processing, and enterprise scheduling environments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced support environment.

Total compensation
We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between $52,500.00 – 61,500.00 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
