About the role
As a Snowflake/Python Developer, you will make an impact by designing and building scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that power analytics and machine learning workloads. You will be a valued member of our data engineering team and work collaboratively with data scientists, analysts, and cross-functional stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
· Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines using Python and PySpark to ingest, transform, and serve large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.
· Build and manage data workflows on Snowflake, including schema design, data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
· Implement ETL/ELT processes to integrate data from diverse sources (APIs, databases, event streams, flat files) into centralized data lakes or warehouses.
· Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand requirements and deliver clean, reliable datasets for analytics and ML workloads.
· Develop and maintain data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting to ensure pipeline reliability and data integrity.
· Optimize Snowflake costs through warehouse sizing strategies, clustering keys, result caching, and query profiling.
· Participate in code reviews, contribute to best practices, and help establish engineering standards within the data team.
· Document data flows, pipeline designs, and data dictionaries to support cross-functional transparency.
