About the Role
As a Warehouse Control System (WCS) Sr. Developer, you will play a key role in delivering logistics technology solutions, including on-site deployment, integration, and testing of warehouse automation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on-site implementation, deployment, debugging, and optimization of WCS solutions to ensure successful go-live and stable operations
- Conduct user training and support adoption of the WCS platform
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and contribute to solution design
- Develop, enhance, and unit test core WCS modules using Java-based technologies
- Act as a technical liaison between software, electrical controls, and mechanical teams to ensure seamless system integration
- Support the implementation and optimization of warehouse scheduling algorithms to improve operational efficiency
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on Java development experience
- Strong proficiency in frameworks such as Spring Boot and Spring MVC
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Logistics Engineering, Automation, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with WCS or warehouse automation system implementations
- Familiarity with integration of warehouse hardware systems (e.g., AGVs, conveyors, stacker cranes)
- Understanding of logistics control systems and equipment interaction
Work Model
This is an onsite role (5 days/week) based in Brantford, ON, driven by client and project requirements. Flexibility may vary depending on business needs.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $83,000 – $90,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications
- Eligible for annual performance-based bonus
