About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Utilities CC&B Techno-Functional Lead to support and enhance Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) operations across the meter-to-cash lifecycle. This role serves as a critical liaison between business and technology teams, ensuring system stability, rapid issue resolution, operational excellence, and continuous improvement for customer care, billing, payments, collections, batch processing, and integrations.
In This Role You Will
- Provide end-to-end production support for Oracle Utilities CC&B, ensuring timely resolution of incidents, service requests, and problem tickets.
- Analyze complex functional and technical issues across customer care, billing, payments, collections, meter-to-cash processes, interfaces, and batch operations to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
- Configure and maintain Oracle Utilities CC&B components, including business objects, business services, algorithms, scripts, zones, portals, batch jobs, and UI maps.
- Monitor critical billing and operational batch processes, troubleshoot job failures, validate data integrity, and coordinate recovery activities.
- Collaborate with business users, operations teams, developers, QA teams, and external system owners to gather requirements, validate solutions, and support change initiatives.
- Perform SQL-based data analysis, reconciliation activities, and impact assessments to support issue investigation and decision-making.
- Support and coordinate system enhancements, patch deployments, configuration changes, testing activities, and release management processes.
- Manage interface monitoring and integration support to ensure stable and accurate data exchange between systems.
- Document solutions, support procedures, known issues, and business process impacts to improve operational knowledge management.
- Proactively recommend process and system improvements that enhance platform stability, performance, and user experience.
- Participate in incident management, problem management, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with operational objectives.
- Ensure compliance with governance, support standards, and service-level agreements.
Work Model
This position requires associates to work onsite five (5) days per week in Tucson, AZ.
What You Need to Have to Be Considered
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience supporting Oracle Utilities Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) applications.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF).
- Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle Database technologies.
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
- Strong knowledge of utility meter-to-cash business processes.
- Experience with batch processing, job scheduling, and Automic workload automation.
- Knowledge of Oracle Utilities integrations, Web Services, and XAI technologies.
- Experience supporting production environments, incident management, and root-cause analysis.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional business and technical teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Experience with Oracle Utilities Cloud or advanced CC&B implementations.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management best practices.
- Experience leading production support teams and coordinating major incident response.
- Familiarity with release management, regression testing, and change control processes.
- Experience improving operational efficiency through automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Exposure to cloud, integration, and enterprise architecture technologies.

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $64,734 - $90,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
