Job Summary

This hybrid role is for an experienced software engineer with strong expertise in Java Springboot, microservices and Mongo DB building scalable services for enterprise systems in an international environment. The engineer will design develop and optimize cloud ready microservice solutions that enhance reliability performance and customer experience with potential focus on airline domain platforms and digital journeys while collaborating with cross functional teams in a day shi


Responsibilities

  • Design robust microservice based applications using Java Springboot and Springboot microservices to deliver secure scalable and high performing services that support critical enterprise workflows and customer facing channels
  • Develop and optimize data access layers using Mongo DB to ensure efficient querying indexing and schema design that improve application responsiveness and reliability across complex data sets
  • Implement clean modular and reusable code in Java adhering to best practices coding standards and secure development guidelines to support long term maintainability and ease of enhancement
  • Collaborate with product owners architects and platform engineers in a hybrid work model to refine technical requirements and translate business needs into well defined service and data contracts
  • Integrate microservices with internal and external systems through well structured APIs while ensuring resilience observability and smooth communication across distributed components
  • Configure and maintain Springboot application properties security mechanisms and dependency management to ensure consistent behavior across environments and stable deployments for day shift operations
  • Conduct comprehensive unit integration and regression testing for Java Springboot and Mongo DB components to identify defects early and maintain high quality releases that reduce production incidents
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to share knowledge address design risks and drive continuous improvement across microservice architectures and data persistence strategies
  • Analyze production metrics and logs to troubleshoot issues in microservices and Mongo DB interactions then implement corrective actions that reduce downtime and improve user experience for global customers
  • Contribute to performance tuning activities by profiling Java Springboot services optimizing database queries and refining caching strategies to meet stringent response time and scalability goals
  • Support deployment pipelines by collaborating with DevOps teams to ensure microservices are packaged configured and released consistently across test and production environments without impacting day shift stability
  • Apply domain understanding of airline reservation check in and operations flows when available to build features that streamline travel journeys reduce operational friction and increase customer satisfaction
  • Document technical designs data models and service interfaces in a clear and structured manner so teams across the multinational organization can easily understand maintain and extend implemented solutions

Qualifications

  • Possess several years of hands on experience in Java development with a strong focus on building enterprise applications that emphasize performance reliability and code quality
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Springboot and Springboot microservices including configuration security integration and lifecycle management of distributed services in complex ecosystems
  • Bring solid experience with Mongo DB including design of collections indexing strategies and performance optimization in high traffic transactional or event driven environments
  • Show ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model coordinating with geographically dispersed teams while maintaining clear communication and accountability for deliverables
  • Offer familiarity with airline or travel domain processes such as booking ticketing and disruption management which can be applied to design more intuitive and resilient customer solutions
  • Exhibit strong problem solving skills with a track record of analyzing complex production issues across services and databases and implementing durable fixes that prevent recurrence
  • Maintain awareness of modern software engineering practices such as continuous integration automated testing and observability tools to enhance stability and confidence in frequent releases
