About the Role
We are seeking a Adobe Workfront Architect to join our Adobe Practice. This role will partner with cross-functional teams to improve resilient systems, troubleshoot production issues, strengthen observability, and apply site reliability engineering best practices.
In This Role, You Will
- Architect end-to-end Workfront Fusion scenarios that connect Workfront with enterprise platforms such as AEM, AEP, Salesforce, SAP, and ServiceNow, ensuring clean bi-directional data flow.
- Design scalable, fault-tolerant integration patterns for high-volume automation, including error handling, retry logic, rate-limit management, data mapping, and webhook triggers.
- Lead technical discovery with business and IT stakeholders, translating workflow requirements into Fusion module chains, Workfront custom forms, and data extensions.
- Own governance of the Fusion instance: module reuse standards, naming conventions, connection and credential management, environment promotion, and scenario version control.
- Partner with Workfront admins and BSAs to align integration design with Workfront's project, task, and portfolio data model, including request queues, approvals, and proof workflows.
- Define and implement monitoring, alerting, and operational dashboards for scenario health, execution failures, and operations/credit consumption.
- Review scenarios built by developers and peers for performance, security, and maintainability, and coach the team on Fusion best practices.
- Evaluate and recommend when to use Fusion versus native Workfront capabilities (Planning, Blueprints, Workfront APIs) versus external middleware.
- Document architecture decisions, data flow diagrams, and runbooks for support handoff, and provide L3 escalation support for production issues.
- Contribute to the roadmap for workflow automation, including reusable templates, accelerators, and emerging AI-assisted automation opportunities.

What You Need to Have to Be Considered
- Deep hands-on experience building, debugging, and optimizing complex multi-module scenarios in Workfront Fusion (routers, filters, iterators, aggregators, error handlers, data stores).
- Strong understanding of API integration fundamentals: REST/SOAP, OAuth2 and API key authentication, JSON/XML transformation, pagination, and webhook design.
- Comfortable working with complex nested data structures and designing robust error paths, including rollback, dead-letter handling, and idempotent processing.
- Working knowledge of the Workfront object model and API (projects, tasks, issues, custom forms, portfolios, programs, users, and groups).
- Proficiency with JavaScript and Fusion functions (including custom functions or code modules) for data transformation and logic that standard modules can't handle.
- Able to run technical discovery with both business and IT audiences and produce clear, concise documentation (architecture diagrams, data mappings, runbooks).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; Adobe Workfront or Workfront Fusion certification preferred.
