About the role
As an IT Field Support Specialist, you will join Cognizant to work on-site in Montigny-le-Bretonneux, supporting a major player in the automotive sector. This role is part of a multi-year global contract to modernize workplace services, covering the client's sites and offices worldwide.
In this specific role, you will provide on-site technical support to end users.
Your responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support: install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other devices
- Handle incidents and requests from start to finish, following the defined SLAs
- Support ITSM processes (incident, problem, and change management) and keep clear records of your work
- Work with remote support teams and other departments on more complex issues
- Take part in deployment projects: hardware rollouts, migrations, and upgrades
- Provide basic training to users and contact suppliers or partners when needed
Required profile
- At least 4 years of overall experience, including 2 years in desktop/deskside support
- Fluent French required
- Professional English required (you will regularly work with English-speaking contacts as part of this international contract)
- Valid driver's license (if travel is required)
Technical skills
- Windows and Mac (devices and desktop environment)
- ITSM tool (ServiceNow, Remedy, or Jira Service Management)
- Basic network knowledge
- Good understanding of hardware troubleshooting and repair
Soft skills
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Customer service mindset and good listening skills
Environment & methods
- Knowledge of ITSM processes and SLA-based work
- Ability to keep clear and accurate documentation
Work model: on-site
This role requires full-time on-site presence at the client location in Montigny-le-Bretonneux.
