Job Summary
The Functional Architect will design and optimize corrective and breakdown maintenance processes in SAP to support a hybrid work model with day shift operations. The role focuses on configuring SAP modules to improve asset reliability streamline work clearence activities and align with compliance and regulatory expectations across global operations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather detailed requirements for SAP corrective maintenance and translate them into robust functional designs that improve operational reliability and asset uptime
- Configure and optimize SAP corrective maintenance processes to ensure timely work order creation efficient planning and accurate completion tracking across day shift operations
- Design and refine SAP breakdown maintenance workflows that reduce unplanned downtime and enhance visibility into equipment failures and root cause trends
- Develop and maintain functional specifications for enhancements and integrations related to SAP work clearence management to ensure safe and compliant execution of maintenance tasks
- Coordinate with technical teams to validate end to end solutions for maintenance scenarios ensuring that configuration custom developments and interfaces work cohesively in the hybrid work model
- Create and maintain process documentation configuration guides and user procedures that enable consistent adoption of corrective and breakdown maintenance practices by distributed teams
- Drive system based controls within SAP to enforce regulatory and internal compliance standards across maintenance activities without disrupting field operations
- Conduct impact analysis for change requests and propose pragmatic design options that balance system integrity user experience and compliance expectations
- Plan and execute system testing cycles for corrective and breakdown maintenance including unit testing integration testing and user acceptance testing with clear defect resolution tracking
- Provide day to day functional support to maintenance planners and supervisors by analyzing incidents identifying root causes and implementing sustainable fixes in SAP
- Guide users through structured training sessions and hands on demonstrations to improve proficiency in corrective maintenance breakdown maintenance and work clearence management processes
- Monitor key performance indicators for maintenance processes using SAP reports and analytics and recommend continuous improvements that align with organizational goals and societal safety priorities
- Ensure alignment of SAP maintenance processes with environmental health and safety standards so that field activities support safe working conditions and responsible asset lifecycle management
Qualifications
- Possess extensive experience configuring SAP corrective maintenance functionalities including notifications orders task lists and confirmations for complex maintenance environments
- Have strong practical exposure to SAP breakdown maintenance scenarios including rapid failure logging priority handling and integration with spare parts planning
- Demonstrate solid understanding of SAP work clearence management capabilities and how they support safe isolation permitting and reactivation of equipment in regulated industries
- Bring applied knowledge of compliance process concepts and regulatory compliance requirements as they relate to maintenance records traceability and audit readiness
- Show proven ability to analyze legacy maintenance processes map them to SAP best practices and propose structured migration or improvement approaches for hybrid working teams
- Communicate clearly with cross functional stakeholders including maintenance operations and compliance teams to translate technical constraints into understandable options and outcomes
- Work effectively in a hybrid work model by using collaboration tools structured documentation and disciplined communication to coordinate tasks across onsite and remote participants
