About the role

As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will make an impact by creating intuitive, accessible, and engaging digital experiences that help users interact seamlessly with enterprise applications and AI-enabled solutions. You will be a valued member of the Digital Experience team and work collaboratively with product managers, developers, architects, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, user-centered products.

In this role, you will:

  • Design end-to-end user experiences through user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for enterprise applications.
  • Develop and support responsive front-end solutions using React, Angular, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript while ensuring usability, accessibility, and performance.
  • Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to accelerate UX research, prototyping, design workflows, documentation, and development activities.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and experience analytics to continuously enhance customer satisfaction and product adoption.
  • Partner with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable, compliant, and user-centered digital experiences.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring attendance in a Cognizant or client office in Minneapolis, Minnesota. What you need to have to be considered

  • 10+ years of experience in UI/UX design, user-centered design, interaction design, and enterprise digital experiences.
  • 8+ years of experience with modern front-end technologies including React, Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • 5+ years of experience conducting user research, usability testing, accessibility reviews, and translating findings into actionable design improvements.
  • Experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale digital products with a strong focus on usability, accessibility, and responsive design.
  • Experience using AI-powered productivity and design tools such as Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Figma AI, or similar technologies.
  • Understanding of Responsible AI principles, AI governance, risk management, and AI-enabled product development practices.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work across product, business, architecture, and engineering teams.

These will help you stand out

  • Experience with Customer Communications Management (CCM) platforms such as Quadient Inspire, EngageOne, Doc1, or similar solutions.
  • Experience designing workflows related to document composition, proofing, approvals, PDF previews, quality assurance, and print production.
  • Experience creating and managing enterprise design systems, reusable component libraries, and design governance frameworks.
  • Experience designing AI-enabled user experiences, conversational interfaces, intelligent workflows, and personalization solutions.
  • Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, insurance, or financial services.
  • Familiarity with UX analytics, A/B testing, and data-driven optimization techniques.
  • Experience collaborating on cloud-native and enterprise application modernization initiatives.

Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $ 75,000 to $ 135,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
