Position Summary:
We are actively seeking an Azure Data Engineer. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to understand client business needs, contribute to the design process, focus on the technical solution, learn new technologies, and implement Azure Databricks and Azure Synapse in an agile setting.
The ideal candidate should have comprehensive engineering experience across various Azure platforms including Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory & Logic Apps. Proficiency in SQL and PySpark programming is a must, along with experience in deploying code into multiple environments using CI-CD via Azure DevOps.
This role involves end-to-end responsibility for leading and delivering technologically advanced, cost-effective, and enterprise-aligned designs for projects and releases. As a member of a squad, the engineer will work collaboratively with other tribe members to achieve business outcomes using agile methodologies. Mandatory Skills:
•Strong experience specially on Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Data factory and Power BI I smust
•Strong understanding of Guidewire policy and claims data model is mandatory.
•Excellent hands-on experience in Python & MongoDB.
•Good understanding of Azure Databricks platform to build data analytics solutions to support the required performance & scale.
•Experience in handling ADLS storage archival process & design optimized load options
•Experience with Azure Log Analytics & Alerts along with Dynatrace.
•Extensive work knowledge on Azure Admin activities for several Azure resources (ADLS2, Key Vault etc.).
•Excellent experience in designing workflows in Logic App.
•Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concept.
•Extensive experience with large-scale data processing solution.
•Expertise with building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (or similar)
•Experience in creating and physical data models.
•Experience in Python and/or shell scripting
•Experience in ETL, Data Lake and Data-Factory pipelines.
•Demonstrated expertise in data cleaning using SCD-Type 1 and Type 2 methodologies.
•Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
•Team player, collaborative approach, and excellent communication skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Implement design improvements, updates, and programming modifications for various sections and subsections of the data pipeline handling both structured and unstructured data.
•Use PySpark for data transformations and performance optimization.
•Built an ETL data pipeline to process structured and semi-structured data, integrating millions of records from various data sources.
•Develop pipeline to integrate Policy and claims data from guidewire to the data platform using Azure PaaS services
•Deploy changes across different environments using CI-CD in Azure DevOps.
•Identify, debug, and propose enhancements or fixes for code issues.
•Actively collaborate with the project team, provide updates on project progress and problem resolutions.
•Monitor production pipeline to ensure error-free completion.
Qualifications & Certifications (Optional):
Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or equivalent stream
Salary Range: >$85,000 to $95,000
