Role: Duck Creek Business Architect
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and delivery of Duck Creek BA solutions aligned to business outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Act as a consulting partner to customers, translating business needs into scalable Duck Creek solutions.
- Own customer relationship management, including senior stakeholder and architect interactions.
- Drive Product Owner coordination, backlog grooming, prioritization, and cross‑team dependency management.
- Lead multi‑vendor coordination across Cognizant, customer teams, and third‑party vendors.
- Design and integrate Duck Creek solutions within microservices‑based architectures, ensuring scalability, resilience, and performance.
- Oversee integration of Duck Creek with upstream/downstream systems and enterprise platforms.
- Provide architectural guidance on Duck Creek best practices and complex solution design.
- Partner with business, engineering, QA, and vendors to resolve complex functional challenges.
- Own solution documentation and design artifacts specifications.
- Ensure quality through testing oversight, validation, and performance reviews.
- Monitor production performance and drive continuous improvements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify automation opportunities and process efficiencies.
- Support roadmap planning, modernization initiatives, and strategic delivery decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement in solution design and end‑user experience.
Qualifications
- Strong hands‑on experience in Duck Creek BA with proven delivery success.
- Deep domain expertise in Commercial Insurance, specifically Auto, General Liability, Property, and Workers’ Compensation.
- Experience working with microservices‑architected applications and distributed systems.
- Proven ability to engage customers, architects, Product Owners, and vendors on complex problems.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive, outcome‑driven mindset with a consulting orientation.
Bachelor’s degree required; Duck Creek and/or insurance certifications preferred.
Work model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid(3 days a week onsite) position at Charlotte NC open to qualified applicants in the United States.
