About the role

As a Russian Language QA Tester / QEA, you will make an impact by ensuring the linguistic quality, cultural accuracy, and functional integrity of Russian‑localized software and applications. You will be a valued member of a global Quality Engineering team, working closely with developers, QA engineers, and project managers across international teams.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform Linguistic QA (LQA) on Russian‑localized content to ensure accuracy in grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, and consistency.
  • Validate cultural relevance and appropriateness of content for Russian‑speaking users, identifying and preventing cultural or contextual issues.
  • Execute manual test cases in Russian to validate UI behavior, functionality, and proper text integration.
  • Identify, document, and track linguistic, cosmetic, and functional defects using standard defect management tools.
  • Perform regression testing to confirm fixes and ensure no new issues are introduced.
  • Conduct UI testing to detect text truncation, layout issues, font rendering problems, and character support defects.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders, providing clear and actionable defect reports in both English and Russian.
  • Maintain and apply approved terminology, glossaries, and style guides to ensure consistency across releases.

What you need to have to be considered

  • Native‑level proficiency in Russian (written and spoken) with excellent grammar and linguistic accuracy.
  • Strong working proficiency in English to collaborate effectively with global teams.
  • Demonstrated experience or formal training in Quality Engineering Assurance (QEA), software testing, or localization QA.
  • Hands‑on experience using defect tracking and test management tools such as qTest, ALM, TestRail, JIRA, or similar.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle linguistic, visual, and functional inconsistencies.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycles and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Proficient user of MS Office, including Excel, for test tracking and reporting.

These will help you stand out

  • Knowledge of or exposure to automated testing frameworks such as Selenium.
  • Experience testing Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems.
  • Prior experience working on multilingual or global localization projects.
