About the role
As an Systems Engineer (d/f/m), you will make an impact by ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of manufacturing, lab, and data center IT systems at our client’s Norderstedt site. You will be a valued member of the onsite support team and work collaboratively with network, server, and infrastructure specialists, as well as OEM partners, to ensure continuous business operations in a regulated environment.
In this role, you will:
- Provide end‑to‑end support for manufacturing, lab, and data center IT systems and devices.
- Deliver advanced troubleshooting for AV technologies (projectors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, cameras, displays).
- Identify root causes of incidents across IT devices, mobility solutions, and end‑user technologies.
- Perform onsite Smart Hands & Feet support, including commissioning/decommissioning and rack & stack activities.
- Coordinate with network and server teams on high‑priority issues and escalations.
- Execute power shutdown maintenance procedures for data center components (network equipment, servers).
- Manage full IT asset lifecycle (collection, storage, labeling, imaging, allocation, recovery, hygiene validation, disposal).
- Provide physical access coordination for vendors (IDF/MDF/MMR, communication rooms, data center).
- Maintain continuity of print services, including coordination with vendors and monitoring printer usage.
- Ensure operational network connectivity (LAN), Wi‑Fi, printers, voice systems, Tandberg video systems.
- Support cable patching coordination and execution.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components for end‑user readiness.
- Adhere to GMP/GxP regulations and support operations in clean room/manufacturing environments.
- Apply strong quality focus and attention to detail in all work tasks.
What you need to have to be considered
- Fluent German language skills at C1–C2 CEFR level (mandatory).
- Solid experience supporting manufacturing, lab, or distribution center IT environments.
- Strong hands‑on experience with scanners, rugged tablets, Zebra printers, production PCs, and specialized test equipment.
- Advanced troubleshooting expertise for IT and mobility devices.
- Advanced AV troubleshooting (projectors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, cameras, displays).
- Experience executing power shutdown maintenance for data center environments.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with network, server teams, and OEM vendors.
- Knowledge and practical experience working under GMP/GxP regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work in clean room and manufacturing environments.
- Experience with rack & stack activities for routers, switches, firewalls, WAPs.
- Practical experience with IT asset lifecycle processes.
- Advanced Microsoft knowledge (server-related support is a plus).
- High attention to detail and strong quality mindset.
