About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and client-focused Client Relationship Manager – Financial Services to join our growing team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our financial services clients, responsible for nurturing long-term partnerships, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and driving business growth. You will bring together expertise in the Financial Services industry, Agile methodologies, and Scrum Master practices, while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams across multiple geographies to deliver measurable value for both clients and the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and assigned financial services client accounts, building trusted, long-term relationships.
- Proactively identify client needs, resolve concerns, and ensure a consistently high level of client satisfaction.
- Conduct regular check-ins, business reviews, and strategic planning sessions with key client stakeholders.
- Monitor client health metrics and develop action plans to address risk or retention challenges.
Business Growth & Strategy
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts and collaborate with the sales team to convert them.
- Contribute to the development of client retention strategies and renewal processes.
- Prepare and present business proposals, reports, and performance reviews tailored to client goals and financial services context.
Work Model
This is a role which requires strong preference to be situation at client location along with Cognizant office with a flexibility of work from home, offering the flexibility to work from multiple locations while requiring regular in-office collaboration during standard business hours. Specific flexible days to work from home will be agreed upon with the line manager based on team and client needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- A Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) is a strong advantage.
Experience
- Experience in client relationship management, account management and business development.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple regions or geographies.
Good to Have Experience
- Prior experience in the Financial Services industry (banking, insurance, asset management, or capital markets) is highly desirable.
- Exposure to Agile ways of working, including participation in or facilitation of Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Industry Knowledge
- Well-versed in the Financial Services industry, with solid understanding of relevant products, services, regulatory frameworks, and market dynamics.
- Familiarity with financial services compliance standards (e.g., MiFID II, GDPR, Basel frameworks) is a plus.
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Ownership Driven - ability to take it on and make it happen.
- Fluent in both Dutch and English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously across international teams.
- Culturally aware and adept at working in a globally distributed, matrixed organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, Jira, Confluence).
