As an IT Audit Manager within Global Internal Audit, you will support the Engagement Lead in the effective planning and execution of IT and Cybersecurity audit engagements across audit and advisory workstreams. You will manage and direct audit teams, oversee engagement delivery across process and technology domains, build strategic stakeholder partnerships, and deliver value-added insights that strengthen Cognizant’s control environment. As a team of self-starters, you can work with impact while enjoying unmatched learning and leadership opportunities.
· Prepare IT and cyber audit programs targeting high-risk areas in the company’s controls, systems, and processes; execute and monitor engagements in compliance with Corporate Audit Methodology and documentation requirements.
· Coordinate audit activities with external and co-sourced internal auditors to ensure proper audit coverage, elimination of duplication of effort, and improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of audit activities.
· Monitor execution and reporting phases of each engagement to ensure fieldwork aligns with planned scope, risk areas, and budget expectations; track and report project status and milestones, managing resolution or escalation of engagement challenges.
· Supervise team members, drive their accountability and timely execution, and provide proactive performance feedback; review work paper documentation to ensure retained records fully support audit work performed.
· Assess identified gaps and areas for improvement, evaluate their significance and potential business impact; finalize discussions on audit findings with the team and management prior to report issuance, and prepare audit reports and memos highlighting key risk exposures, noted issues, overall conclusions, and agreed-upon corrective actions.
· Collaborate with and educate process owners on the importance of maintaining strong internal controls and the role of internal audit; drive timely follow-up on MAP implementation, escalating where required, and assist in periodic reporting to the Audit Committee on review status and key findings.
· Build effective strategic partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders; keep current with the latest developments in IT and cybersecurity, and continuously focus on self-development through relevant training, seminars, and professional certifications.
· Embrace our vibrant culture by striving for excellence, focusing on meaningful outcomes, and collaborating effectively. Take ownership, build relationships, and focus on personal growth to drive business strategy and foster an inclusive culture, creating unmatched career opportunities and impactful work.
