About the role
As an Associate Partner (Director), Telco Consulting, you will make an impact by leading and developing the Telco advisory business within the Communications, Media and Technology (CMT) practice. You will be a valued member of the CMT Consulting team and work collaboratively with the Europe Head of Consulting, CMT, senior management, and clients.

In this role, you will:

• Build executive relationships with senior client stakeholders (CIOs, CTOs, Chief Digital Officers, Technology VPs, and business leaders) across the European telecommunications sector, serving as a trusted advisor on industry disruption, technology transformation, AI adoption, data modernization, platform strategies, automation, and emerging telecom trends.
• Lead strategic conversations that surface business challenges, shape client vision, and translate that vision into high-impact consulting opportunities—owning them end-to-end from initial engagement through proposal development, solution shaping, and deal closure.
• Develop compelling executive-level narratives, storyboards, and presentations that communicate complex business and technology strategies with clarity and influence.
• Orchestrate cross-functional Cognizant and global consulting, industry, and technology teams to craft innovative solutions, drive sales pursuits, and deliver measurable business outcomes for clients.
• Partner with clients to define and execute strategies across digital transformation, AI, customer experience, operational excellence, and next-generation technology platforms.
• Represent Cognizant at industry conferences, customer events, analyst briefings, and telecom forums, while contributing to thought leadership, market insights, and differentiated consulting offerings that position Cognizant as a leading transformation partner in telecommunications.
• Bring a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset to identifying new business opportunities, overcoming challenges, and driving initiatives to successful outcomes.

Work model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring regular presence in a client or Cognizant office in Stockholm, Sweden. What you must have to be considered

• Strong Telco domain knowledge and consulting experience at a CxO level.
• Deep knowledge of Telco market, commercial industry dynamics, and changing business models.
• Significant exposure to leading complex consulting, delivery, and technology projects in Telco.
• Strong personal network and reputation in key markets and with CxO clients.
• Ability to discuss business and technology-enabled transformation.
• Proven experience in managing and connecting global multi-disciplinary teams.
• Entrepreneurial and creative thinker.
• Delivers concise and effective communications with authority, excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Highly adaptable in dynamic environments.
• A leader who inspires trust and confidence with courageous and decisive actions.
• Customer-oriented, keeping up to date with market and technology trends.
• Cross-cultural awareness is well regarded.
• Preferably with an MBA.
• Excellent team player who actively supports peers.

• Ability to own and drive executive relations (VP-Technology, CDO/CIO, and Senior Director levels).
• Deep telecom and technologies knowledge (AI/Data/automation, platform).
• Storyboarding and visual storytelling, orchestrating across customer and internal teams.
