About the role
As a webMethods Developer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and supporting enterprise integration solutions using Software AG webMethods technologies. You will be a valued member of the Integration & Middleware team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, application teams, architects, DevOps teams, and support partners.
In this role, you will:
Develop, maintain, and enhance integrations using webMethods Integration Server, Designer, and related platform components.
Build and manage REST and SOAP APIs using webMethods API Gateway while supporting API-led and microservices-based architectures.
Implement enterprise integration solutions leveraging Universal Messaging, JMS, Trading Networks, EDI processing, and adapter technologies.
Monitor, troubleshoot, optimize, and support integration platforms to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability across environments.
Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements, deliver scalable solutions, and support automated deployments through DevOps and CI/CD practices.
What you need to have to be considered
Strong hands-on experience with Software AG webMethods Integration Server, Designer, API Gateway, Trading Networks, and Universal Messaging.
Experience developing Flow services, Java services, and integrations using JDBC, SAP, REST, and SOAP adapters.
Solid understanding of SOA, microservices, API-led integration architecture, and enterprise application integration concepts.
Experience working with REST/SOAP services, XML, JSON, WSDL, Swagger/OpenAPI, and related integration standards.
Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, monitoring, deployment, and environment management experience, including Git and CI/CD tools.
These will help you stand out
Experience with EDI implementations and B2B integrations using Trading Networks.
Knowledge of messaging protocols and technologies including JMS, HTTP/S, FTP/S, and Universal Messaging.
Experience with webMethods Deployer, DevOps automation, and release management processes.
Exposure to cloud, hybrid integration, and containerized deployment environments.
Strong documentation, governance, security, and integration best-practice knowledge.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $83,500 – 95,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
