We are looking for a Senior QA Guidewire Tester to join our QEA team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Guidewire testing and a strong Property and Casualty Insurance background. You will perform functional, regression, and end-to-end testing across Guidewire modules to ensure seamless system functionality, identify defects, and validate integrations to deliver high-quality insurance solutions.
In this role, you will
• Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts for Guidewire applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing of Guidewire Policy Center and Billing Center.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed test cases and test scenarios.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables.
• Develop Policy Center & Billing Center configuration/Integration test scenarios & test cases.
• Coordinate with Offshore, Onshore, and other stakeholders to complete the deliverables.
• Track and report defects using defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Client ALM, Azure DevOps).
• Actively engage in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Required skills
• Overall, 7 to 10 years of IT experienced focussed on QA in P&C insurance domain and Guidewire testing.
• Strong testing knowledge of Guidewire policy center and billing center.
• Must to have Guidewire certification completed.
• Must have hands on automation knowledge, BDD Cucumber.
• Good hands-on experience on Test Case design, Test Execution, Test Planning, Defect Logging, and tracking.
• Good Knowledge in JIRA,JTMF testing tools.
• Good experience in Agile and well versed in standard QA processes.
Preferred skills
• Working experience in offshore / onshore delivery model.
• Good team player and ready to take up additional responsibilities when required.

Total compensation:
We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between CAD 70,000 – 90,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
Working arrangements
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto, ON.
