Senior Full Stack .NET Developer (React w/Azure) (Hybrid)
About the role
As a Senior Full Stack .NET Developer (React w/Azure), you will make an impact by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications and cloud-based solutions that support critical business operations. You will be a valued member of the software engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, business stakeholders, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and cross-functional technology partners to deliver high-quality digital solutions
In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications using .NET technologies, React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL-based databases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design technical solutions, and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing applications.
- Build and maintain cloud-enabled solutions utilizing Azure services, including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Databricks, and other cloud platforms.
- Implement DevOps best practices using GitHub, Azure DevOps, SonarQube, and Artifactory to support continuous integration and deployment.
- Develop and optimize backend database structures, stored procedures, APIs, and RESTful services to ensure application performance and reliability.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, and quality assurance activities to deliver defect-free solutions.
- Troubleshoot, enhance, and modernize existing applications based on business requirements, user feedback, and evolving technology standards.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility, application security, system stability, and performance optimization across platforms.
- Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and support to end users and project teams as needed.
- Research emerging technologies and recommend innovative approaches to improve application functionality, maintainability, and user experience.

What you need to have to be considered
- Significant hands-on software development experience with C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core, ASP.NET, and React.
- 7+ years of experience
- Strong experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or other relational database technologies.
- Experience with GitHub, Azure DevOps, SonarQube, and Artifactory.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, web services, microservices architecture, and modern application development practices.
- Experience with cloud technologies, including Microsoft Azure, and exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end development frameworks.
- Experience performing software testing, debugging, performance tuning, and application support activities.
- Ability to work in Agile delivery environments and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
These will help you stand out
- Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Databricks.
- Experience designing and implementing cloud-native architectures.
- Knowledge of CI/CD automation and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Experience with application modernization and migration initiatives.
- Exposure to secure coding practices and enterprise application security standards.
- Experience mentoring junior developers and providing technical leadership.
Canadian Pay Transparency Statement
We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between $ 74,250 – 117,500 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
