About the Role
As an Application Support Engineer, you will make an impact by enabling strategic technology partnerships, supporting complex API integrations, and driving successful technical outcomes for partners and customers. You will be a valued member of the engineering and partner ecosystem team, collaborating closely with product management, platform engineering, business development, partnerships, content teams, and external technical stakeholders to deliver innovative and scalable solutions.

In This Role, You Will:
- Lead technical discussions with external partners to evaluate integration requirements, identify solutions, and assess technical feasibility.
- Review and audit partner integrations, providing recommendations to optimize API adoption, platform capabilities, performance, and overall business outcomes.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor by designing, architecting, and supporting web, software, mobile, and proof-of-concept solutions for partner ecosystems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration and application issues, applying strong debugging skills and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive resolution.
- Create technical documentation, code samples, training materials, webinars, and enablement resources to support partner success and accelerate adoption.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to influence product roadmaps, advocate for partner needs, and identify opportunities for platform enhancements.
- Maintain strong relationships with partner technical teams through ongoing engagement, status reviews, issue management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in a client or Cognizant office in Mountain View, California. What You Need to Have to Be Considered
- 5+ years of experience designing, developing, supporting, or integrating web, software, or mobile applications.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to lead technical discussions with external partners and stakeholders.
- Solid experience consuming and integrating REST and GraphQL APIs, including authentication and security best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging capabilities across distributed applications and integrations.
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages or frameworks, including Java, .NET, Node.js, JavaScript, Python, PHP, or Ruby on Rails.
- Experience working with web services, API ecosystems, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong relationship-building, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
These Will Help You Stand Out
Experience supporting partner ecosystems, developer platforms, or third-party integrations.
- Experience with software architecture, solution design, or technical consulting.
- Familiarity with SDKs, developer portals, API documentation, and developer enablement programs.
- Understanding of small and medium-sized business (SMB) customer challenges and digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience delivering technical workshops, webinars, code labs, or developer training programs.

Salary and Other Compensation
Applications will be accepted until August 14, 2026.
The annual salary for this position is between $60,000 and $92,500, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
