IT Operations Analyst – Warehouse Operations Bengaluru, India | Onsite | Full-time | 1+ Years Experience
About the Role
We are a leading global financial institution seeking a detail-oriented and operationally disciplined professional to join our IT Warehouse Operations team in Bengaluru. This role sits at the critical intersection of physical IT asset handling and system-of-record accuracy — ensuring that every hardware movement, from receipt to retirement, is executed flawlessly and reflected precisely in ServiceNow.
This is a hands-on, process-driven role that demands both operational rigour and a collaborative mindset, working across IT, logistics, and business support teams to meet defined service levels and business timelines.
What You Will Do
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Receive, inspect, record, and store incoming IT equipment and accessories with accuracy and care
- Execute picking, packing, labelling, and dispatch of IT assets in line with approved procedures
- Perform barcode scanning, asset tagging, and reconciliation to ensure correct shipment and tracking
- Identify shortages, damages, or discrepancies and escalate to the reporting supervisor without delay
- Support laptop and desktop staging, imaging, and basic configuration in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Manage ordering and fulfilment of end-user devices including peripherals, monitors, printers, and accessories
- Operate manual and powered material-handling equipment such as pallet trucks
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safe storage conditions through routine housekeeping activities
ServiceNow Ticket Management
- Create, update, and close ServiceNow tickets related to warehouse operations, hardware fulfilment, asset movements, and disposition activities in line with defined workflows and SLAs
- Document ticket details accurately — including request scope, asset information, actions taken, and resolution notes — ensuring a complete and auditable trail
- Monitor assigned tickets regularly and provide timely status updates to stakeholders within defined turnaround times
- Ensure tickets are correctly categorised, prioritised, and routed per ServiceNow policies and SOPs
- Escalate stalled, incomplete, or high-risk tickets to supervisors or resolver groups in accordance with escalation guidelines
- Verify all mandatory fields, approvals, and attachments are complete prior to ticket closure
ServiceNow Asset Management
- Update and maintain accurate hardware asset records in ServiceNow — including state, sub-state, location, custody, and lifecycle status
- Ensure asset records are updated promptly following receipt, deployment, transfer, return, or retirement of IT equipment
- Associate asset records to the correct ServiceNow tickets to maintain full traceability between physical actions and system records
- Reconcile physical inventory against ServiceNow records and report discrepancies
- Support lifecycle events such as repair, redeployment, and disposal by updating records per documented processes
- Attach supporting documentation — shipment details, inventory lists, disposal confirmations — to relevant tickets or asset records as required
IT Operations & Service Support
- Provide operational support for IT hardware fulfilment and warehouse-related service requests
- Act as a coordination point for internal stakeholders on inventory status, order fulfilment, and exceptions
- Adhere to defined turnaround times and service level agreements consistently
- Support planned change activities to minimise operational and business impact
Compliance, Safety & Controls
- Comply with all workplace safety regulations and security controls
- Ensure proper handling, custody, and movement of IT assets to prevent loss or damage
- Follow established company policies, disaster recovery guidelines, and business continuity procedures
- Complete operational reports and documentation accurately and within required timelines
- Participate in process reviews and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control
