Job Summary

The Sr. Functional Analyst (ISG) will play a crucial role in optimizing and enhancing our retail systems. With a focus on Oracle Xstore Point of Sale and Oracle Database technologies the candidate will ensure seamless integration and functionality. This role requires expertise in Java 8 Spring Framework and J2EE to support and improve our POS systems. The hybrid work model offers flexibility while maintaining a day shift schedule.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for Oracle Xstore Point of Sale systems.
  • Design and implement solutions using Oracle Database technologies to ensure data integrity and system efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain Java 8 applications to support retail operations and enhance user experience.
  • Utilize Spring Framework to create robust and scalable applications that meet business needs.
  • Implement J2EE standards to ensure application compatibility and performance across various platforms.
  • Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to optimize POS systems and databases.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Oracle Xstore Point of Sale and related applications.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in software development and system integration.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for system improvements and innovation.
  • Document system processes and configurations to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base.
  • Train and mentor junior team members to foster skill development and knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in project planning and execution to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
  • Contribute to the companys mission by enhancing retail technology improving customer experience and driving operational efficiency.
  • 1. Design develop and customize Oracle Xstore applications.

    2. Establish and drive engineering best practices including secure coding code reviews unit testing design patterns and architectural governance.

    3. Ensure compliance with coding standards performance benchmarks and observability requirements.

    4. Promote test driven development (TDD) code quality automation and effective use of tools like SonarQube Fortify and Git.

    5. Partner with DevOps and Release Management teams to improve metrics such as build stability release accuracy and deployment automation.
