About the role
As a SAP Basis Consultant, you will make an impact by ensuring the stability, performance, and optimization of complex SAP landscapes. You will be a valued member of the EPS Team and work collaboratively with infrastructure, application, and cloud teams to deliver high-quality solutions for our clients.
In this role, you will:
· Perform installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of SAP systems including S/4HANA, MDG, BRIM, BW/4HANA, ECC, BW, SRM, SCM, CRM, LVM, MDM, Catalog, APO Live Cache/MaxDB, GRC, IQ, EP, and Solution Manager.
· Manage peripheral systems such as OpenText and PGP encryption, and interfaces like printers, email servers, and file transfer tools (GoAnywhere).
· Ensure optimal performance and availability of SAP environments in both on-premise and cloud infrastructures.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for SAP Basis administration and security.
· Provide expert-level support for incidents, root cause analysis, and proactive system health checks.
Work model:
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 1–2 days a week in a client or Cognizant office. Working hours will be 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM PST.
What you need to have to be considered:
· 5+ years of deep SAP Basis Administration experience.
· 3+ years working in a NetWeaver 7.0 or higher environment.
· 1+ years of experience in S/4HANA, BRIM, and BW/4HANA environments.
· 1+ years supporting SAP in a cloud environment.
· Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills across SAP landscapes.
These will help you stand out:
· Experience with SAP Solution Manager and advanced monitoring tools.
· Knowledge of database technologies such as MaxDB and SAP IQ.
· Familiarity with encryption tools and secure file transfer protocols.
· Ability to work in complex, multi-system environments with high availability requirements.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-team projects.
