About the role
As a Cybersecurity Architect – Critical National Infrastructure (CNI), you will make an impact by designing, improving, and operating security architecture and defense capabilities across complex cloud and hybrid environments. Drive incident response activities including triage, containment, remediation, and post-incident analysis
Partner with cross-functional teams to remediate vulnerabilities, harden systems, and reduce the overall attack surface
Work model:
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2–3 days per week in a Cognizant or client office in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Working knowledge of automation, scripting, or infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Terraform, CloudFormation)
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, CIS, or equivalent
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in information security, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
These will help you stand out:
Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, GCIH, GCIA, AWS Security Specialty, AZ-500, SC-200
Experience with Zero Trust architecture, CNAPP/CSPM, IAM/PAM, and container security
Exposure to application security (AppSec) practices and tools

We’re excited to meet people who share our mission and can make an impact in a variety of ways. Don’t hesitate to apply, even if you only meet the minimum requirements listed.
