About the role
As a QA Automation Engineer – Healthcare, you will make an impact by ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise healthcare payer applications built on the Pega platform. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and work collaboratively with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and Agile delivery teams to deliver high-quality solutions supporting mission-critical business processes.
In this role, you will:
Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and development teams to analyze requirements and design comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
Execute functional, integration, regression, and data validation testing across Pega-based healthcare applications.
Validate data migration processes involving Teradata, Snowflake, Oracle, and PostgreSQL environments.
Perform API, cloud, and Kafka integration testing while ensuring end-to-end system quality.
Develop and execute automated test suites using Tosca and other automation tools while managing defects and test execution through Jira and qTest.

What you need to have to be considered
Strong experience testing applications built on Pega Infinity 25.x.
Expertise in manual functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Hands-on experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL database testing, including complex data validation activities.
Experience validating data migration processes involving Teradata and Snowflake platforms.
Experience in cloud testing, including private AWS environments and ingress/egress configurations.
Hands-on experience with Tosca (Tricentis) for model-based test automation.
Experience performing API and service validation using Postman, Ready API, or similar tools.
Experience testing event-driven integrations using Confluent Kafka and Test containers.
Experience working in Agile environments with sprint-based delivery cycles.
Strong experience with defect and test management tools such as Jira and qTest.
These will help you stand out

Experience supporting Medicare and Medicaid business processes.
Experience with Appeals & Grievances (A&G) systems.
Understanding of CMS regulatory and compliance requirements.
Experience working with large-scale healthcare transformation programs.

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $44,834 to $76,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
