Job Summary
The R2 Architect role focuses on designing secure and scalable cloud native solutions using Openshift Azure AWS and Java Springboot Azure(OpenShift) AWS(1CP) Github for a global enterprise client. The architect will translate complex business needs into resilient technical designs that enable reliable digital services in a hybrid work model while ensuring performance security and operational excellence across environments.
Responsibilities
Domain Experience- Travel
- Design end to end cloud native architectures using Openshift Azure and AWS that align with enterprise standards and long term technology strategy
- Develop robust microservice based solutions using Java Springboot that ensure high availability scalability and maintainability for business critical applications
- Review existing application landscapes and propose modernization roadmaps that leverage containerization cloud adoption patterns and platform services for improved efficiency
- Define reference architectures patterns and reusable components that enable consistent solution delivery across multiple product teams and technology stacks
- Collaborate with product owners architects and engineering teams to translate functional and nonfunctional requirements into detailed technical designs and implementation guidelines
- Evaluate tradeoffs among performance cost security and maintainability to recommend optimal cloud service combinations across Azure and AWS for each solution
- Create detailed infrastructure and application design documents including integration flows deployment topologies and configuration guidelines for hybrid cloud environments
- Guide development and DevOps teams in implementing secure CI CD pipelines for Java Springboot and container based applications on Openshift and public cloud platforms
- Establish best practices for monitoring logging and observability to ensure proactive detection of issues and continuous improvement of system reliability and performance
- Partner with security and compliance teams to embed secure by design principles covering identity access management encryption and policy enforcement across all solutions
- Support capacity planning and performance tuning activities by analyzing workload characteristics and recommending right sized cloud infrastructure and scaling strategies
- Provide architectural governance during project delivery by reviewing key design decisions validating implementation approaches and ensuring adherence to standards
- Document architecture decisions lessons learned and reusable solution blueprints to build organizational knowledge and accelerate future cloud native initiatives
Qualifications
- possess a strong background in designing and implementing microservice based applications using Java Springboot with solid understanding of object oriented principles and design patterns
- demonstrate hands on expertise with Openshift including container orchestration image management configuration of routes and deployment of enterprise workloads
- bring practical experience in architecting solutions on Azure covering core services networking storage compute identity and platform services relevant to large scale systems
- show solid experience working with AWS services such as compute storage networking and managed databases with focus on security reliability and cost optimization
- understand CI CD practices DevOps tooling and infrastructure as code concepts to support automated builds deployments and environment provisioning for cloud native applications
- display strong knowledge of distributed system design including resilience patterns caching strategies and fault tolerance techniques suitable for mission critical services
- apply sound understanding of integration patterns APIs and messaging to design secure and reliable communication between microservices and external systems
- demonstrate familiarity with enterprise security practices including identity management network security and data protection to ensure compliant and safe architectures
- show capability in performance analysis and tuning for Java based applications and cloud infrastructure to meet demanding service level and response time expectations
- possess excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse technical and business stakeholders in a hybrid work environment
- exhibit strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to break down complex challenges and propose practical architecture options that align with business needs
- display awareness of industry trends and evolving cloud platform capabilities to continuously refine solution approaches and recommend incremental improvements
