Job Summary
Sr Software Engineer B2 role focused on designing developing and optimizing secure enterprise applications using Spring Boot and Core Java in a hybrid work model. The role involves collaborating with cross functional teams improving code quality and delivering scalable services that support critical retail banking platforms enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency across the organization.
Responsibilities
Design and develop robust backend services using Spring Boot and Core Java to support highly scalable enterprise applications in a hybrid work modelImplement clean modular and reusable code to ensure long term maintainability and ease of enhancement for critical business applicationsOptimize application performance by profiling code identifying bottlenecks and implementing tuning strategies for consistent response timesCollaborate with product owners business analysts and quality engineers to translate user requirements into well defined technical solutionsReview code contributions from peers to ensure adherence to coding standards secure coding practices and performance guidelinesCreate and maintain unit tests integration tests and regression suites to ensure strong test coverage and reliable deploymentsIntegrate backend services with databases message brokers and external systems to enable secure data exchange and seamless workflowsTroubleshoot complex production issues by analyzing logs replicating scenarios and implementing resilient fixes to minimize service disruptionDocument system designs technical decisions and deployment procedures to support knowledge sharing and operational excellenceCollaborate closely with DevOps teams to enable smooth continuous integration and deployment pipelines for Spring Boot based servicesApply secure coding practices and compliance guidelines especially when working with financial or customer sensitive data in retail banking contextsEngage with stakeholders to refine technical debt priorities and guide incremental improvements that enhance stability and user satisfactionMentor junior engineers by sharing best practices in Core Java Spring Boot and modern engineering patterns to uplift overall team capability
Qualifications
Possess strong hands on experience in Core Java and Spring Boot with a proven track record of building enterprise grade applicationsDemonstrate practical understanding of microservices architecture RESTful APIs and integration patterns relevant to large scale systemsExhibit familiarity with relational databases and query optimization to design efficient and reliable data access layers for backend servicesBring awareness of retail banking processes channels and products which helps in understanding domain requirements and user journeysShow experience working in agile environments using tools for task tracking code review and collaborative development in hybrid setupsDisplay proficiency in writing automated tests and using build tools that support continuous integration and reliable delivery pipelines
Certifications Required
Oracle Certified Professional Java Programmer or equivalent enterprise Java certification is preferred
