Calypso Business Analyst and Business Systems Analyst - Strong analytical and problem solving skills including data analysis experience supporting trading risk or capital markets technology platforms particularly Calypso experience in Back office and Middle office modules
Responsibilities
- Drive detailed requirement elicitation by engaging business stakeholders operations teams and technology partners to clarify objectives and define precise functional outcomes for content management solutions within the ISG environment.
- Translate business needs into structured functional specifications and user stories that can be easily understood and implemented by engineering teams while reducing ambiguity and rework across the delivery lifecycle.
- Coordinate end to end content management workflows by designing metadata models access rules and lifecycle policies that support efficient search retrieval and compliant retention of business information.
- Collaborate with architects and developers to validate that functional designs for content management platforms align with enterprise standards non functional expectations and integration constraints across connected systems.
- Perform process analysis for cards and payments operations where relevant by mapping current journeys identifying pain points and recommending content centric improvements that shorten cycle times and reduce manual effort.
- Create comprehensive functional test scenarios and acceptance criteria then support system testing user acceptance testing and defect triage to ensure delivered capabilities match agreed requirements and quality expectations.
- Prepare clear functional documentation including process flows configuration notes and traceability matrices that help maintain system knowledge support audits and enable smoother onboarding for new team members.
- Facilitate workshops walkthroughs and demonstrations in a hybrid setting using collaboration tools so that geographically distributed stakeholders gain a shared understanding of proposed solutions and delivery progress.
- Monitor production usage patterns and user feedback for content management features then propose incremental enhancements that improve usability governance and alignment with evolving regulatory expectations.
- Advise business partners on how to leverage existing ISG content platforms and business analysis practices to streamline document heavy processes and reduce operational risk in cards and payments contexts.
- Coordinate closely with project managers to estimate functional effort track deliverables manage requirement changes and report status ensuring that milestones are met within agreed scope and timelines.
- Support incident analysis by reviewing functional behavior replicating reported issues and collaborating with support teams to define root cause and recommend corrective changes that stabilize critical services.
- Champion continuous improvement by reflecting on completed initiatives collecting lessons learned and suggesting enhancements to requirement practices documentation standards and stakeholder engagement approaches.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate strong experience as a business analyst with six to eight years in functional roles including proven capability in requirement gathering process modeling and collaboration with technical delivery teams.
- Show deep understanding of content management principles such as document lifecycle access control metadata strategy and regulatory compliant retention in large enterprise environments.
- Apply familiarity with cards and payments domain concepts including transaction flows and dispute handling to design functional solutions that reflect real operational constraints and customer expectations.
- Communicate complex functional concepts in clear business language both in person and through remote collaboration tools enabling diverse stakeholders to make informed decisions quickly.
- Use structured analysis techniques such as use case definition and process mapping to decompose ambiguous business problems into actionable functional components for implementation.
- Handle work effectively in a hybrid model by managing time maintaining proactive communication and ensuring that critical workshops testing cycles and sign offs remain on track without on site dependency.
- Adapt to changing priorities by rebalancing requirement backlogs clarifying impact with stakeholders and preserving traceability so that scope adjustments do not compromise solution integrity.
