About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Anaplan Solution Architect with expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP). The ideal candidate will bridge business requirements and Anaplan solutions, leading architecture, design, and implementation efforts while ensuring scalable, high-quality deliverables. This role requires strong problem-solving capabilities, model governance expertise, and collaboration with business and technical stakeholders to support enterprise planning initiatives.
In This Role, You Will:
• Translate financial planning and business requirements into scalable Anaplan solutions.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand planning processes and convert business needs into technical deliverables.
• Design, develop, and maintain Anaplan models and workspaces following best practices.
• Manage Anaplan security, including Selective Access and Dynamic Cell Access (DCA).
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis to resolve model and data-related challenges.
• Interpret user stories from Agile sprints and deliver high-quality Anaplan solutions.
• Drive solution optimization, release management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
Work Model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 5 days per month in a client or Cognizant office in Chicago, IL. What You Need to Have to Be Considered
• 10+ years of overall IT, planning systems, or consulting experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Anaplan implementation and solution architecture experience.
• Strong understanding of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) processes.
• Experience with Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP).
• Expertise in Anaplan model building, workspace administration, and governance.
• Strong knowledge of Anaplan security, including Selective Access and Dynamic Cell Access (DCA).
• Proven analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work closely with business users and translate requirements into technical solutions.
These Will Help You Stand Out
• Anaplan Solution Architect Certification (or higher).
• Experience implementing large-scale retail planning solutions.
• Knowledge of supply chain planning and integrated business planning processes.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $130,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. This position also qualifies for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, contingent on performance and applicable plan terms.
