Azure Architect – Landing Zone

Location: Remote Opportunity based anywhere in Canada. Must be eligible to work in the country

Seeking a hands-on Azure Architect to design, build, and deploy Azure Landing Zones (ALZ) and architect workloads on top. This is a build-focused role owning both platform foundation and workload deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy Azure Landing Zone using Terraform/Bicep
  • Set up Management Groups, Azure Policy & governance
  • Design Hub-Spoke / VWAN networking & Azure Firewall
  • Implement Entra ID, RBAC, PIM, security controls
  • Configure Monitoring (Log Analytics, Defender, Sentinel)
  • Architect workloads using AKS, App Services, Functions
  • Implement Private Endpoints, DNS, CI/CD pipelines
  • Perform Well-Architected reviews & documentation

Required Skills

  • Strong ALZ implementation experience (hands-on)
  • Terraform/Bicep (mandatory)
  • Azure Networking (VWAN, Hub-Spoke, Firewall)
  • Azure DevOps / CI-CD
  • Security & Identity (Entra ID, RBAC, PIM)

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in Azure Cloud/Infrastructure
  • Certifications: AZ-104 / AZ-305 preferred
  • Experience in enterprise-scale environments

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

Compensation: we are offering an annual salary between $80,550-$125,000
