About the role
As a Legal Operations Billing Administrator, you will make an impact by supporting the financial operations of Cognizant's global legal function. You will be a valued member of the Legal Operations team and work closely with legal professionals, finance teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate billing administration, reporting, and month-end financial processes.
Key responsibilities
- Review and process legal invoices, resolving any discrepancies or payment-related issues.
- Manage the Legal Billing mailbox and respond to vendor and stakeholder queries.
- Support month-end activities, including accruals, reporting, and forecasting.
- Maintain vendor records, billing documentation, and process controls.
- Produce regular financial and operational reports and support continuous process improvement.
What you need to have
- 1–3 years of experience in billing, finance operations, accounts payable, or a similar role.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience handling invoices, reconciliations, and vendor queries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- Experience with accruals, forecasting, or financial reporting.
- Knowledge of international billing processes.
- Experience with Power Query and/or Power BI.
- Experience working in a global corporate environment.
