Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, SQL, JUnit5, Git, and Spring Framework. Exposure to the Cards & Payments domain is a plus. This role follows a hybrid work model with a day shift schedule.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Spring Boot and Microservices architecture
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and deliver business requirements
  • Implement unit testing using JUnit5 to ensure code quality and reliability
  • Manage code repositories using Git for version control and collaboration
  • Optimize database performance using SQL
  • Develop and integrate APIs within microservices environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production/application issues
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure best practices and coding standards
  • Partner with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends
  • Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards
  • Contribute to Cards & Payments domain initiatives (if applicable)

Required Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Spring Boot & Spring Framework
    • Microservices Architecture
    • JUnit5
    • Git
    • SQL
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in Cards & Payments domain

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Certified Spring Professional
  • Oracle SQL Certification

Location:

Mount Laurel, NJ – USA (Hybrid, Day Shift, No Travel Required)

Salary & Compensation:

  • Annual Salary: $81,000 – $160,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
  • Eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program (performance-based)
