Job Title: Document Accessibility Consultant (SA)

Role Summary
The Senior Document Accessibility Specialist / Lead owns and drives document accessibility initiatives with a primary focus on European Accessibility Act (EAA), PDAF/UA and WCAG 2.2 Level AA compliance. This role combines advanced remediation, formal audits, governance, mentoring, and client engagement to ensure high‑quality, compliant deliverables at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and own document accessibility delivery, ensuring full compliance with:
- European Accessibility Act (EAA)
- WCAG 2.2 Level AA
- EN 301 549
- PDF/UA
- Conduct formal accessibility audits, validations, and compliance sign‑offs.
- Perform advanced assistive technology testing using:
- NVDA
- JAWS
- VoiceOver
- Review, approve, and sign off on accessibility deliverables
- Mentor and train junior team members.
- Act as Accessibility SME / SPOC for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Support project estimation, onboarding, compliance reporting, and audit readiness activities.
Required Skills (Mandatory)
- 5–8 years of strong experience in document accessibility remediation, auditing, and compliance.
- Deep expertise in European Accessibility Act (EAA), PDF/UA, WCAG 2.2 Level AA and EN 301 549 documentation requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Advanced proficiency in PDF Accessibility Checker (PAC)
- Strong hands-on experience with NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver.
- Proven ability to translate legal and technical accessibility requirements into actionable remediation guidance.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
