About the role
As a Progress OpenEdge Delivery Manager, you will make an impact by leading end-to-end delivery across multiple product teams, ensuring seamless execution, high-quality outcomes, and alignment with business objectives. You will be a valued member of the Delivery & Engineering team and work collaboratively with product managers, engineering teams, QA, DevOps, and key business stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
Lead and manage multiple cross-functional product teams (Agile squads) as RTE/Program Manager
Drive project planning, scope, scheduling, and resource management across initiatives
Track delivery commitments, proactively manage risks, and ensure on-time execution
Communicate status, risks, and key updates to stakeholders and leadership
Ensure delivery meets quality standards, business objectives, and financial targets including forecasting and revenue
What you need to have to be considered
Strong understanding of large-scale software development lifecycle (design to deployment)
Experience with delivery and go-to-market methodologies and metrics
Good understanding of cross-functional roles: product, engineering, QA, DevOps, and product marketing
Minimum 2+ years working within Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, XP)
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
Drive end-to-end delivery execution across multiple squads
Monitor and mitigate risks while ensuring predictable delivery
Manage dependencies, schedules, and resource alignment
Provide stakeholder transparency through effective communication
Foster a collaborative, high-performing Agile culture
These will help you stand out
Experience with Progress OpenEdge technologies
Strong financial acumen including forecasting and operating margin management
Experience leading scaled Agile programs or SAFe environments
Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
Experience coaching Agile teams to improve maturity and outcomes
Bring domain expertise in OpenEdge and enterprise application delivery
Improve team performance through Agile coaching and mentoring
Enable cross-team alignment for complex enterprise programs
Drive operational excellence and financial accountability
Strengthen delivery governance and reporting practices

Salary and Other Compensation:
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
