Job Title: Senior Network Operations Engineer
Job Location: Vancouver BC ( Hybrid 4 days onsite )

We are seeking a Senior Network Operations Engineer to support and maintain a large-scale enterprise network environment across retail stores, corporate offices, distribution centers, cloud platforms, and remote users. This role serves as a senior technical escalation point for complex network issues, major incidents, and operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced L2/L3 support for network incidents and outages.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, SD-WAN, cloud, and security environments.
- Lead incident response for critical business-impacting events and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Support network hardware refreshes, software upgrades, and technology deployments.
- Review and implement network changes following change management processes.
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
- Develop automation solutions using Python, Ansible, APIs, or Terraform.
- Improve monitoring, observability, and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with vendors and technology partners to resolve complex issues.
Required Experience
- 8+ years of enterprise networking experience.
- 5+ years in a Network Operations environment.
- Experience supporting large, geographically distributed enterprises.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between 94000 to 107000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
