Service Manager
As a Service Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery and support of enterprise web applications built on React.js, Spring Boot Microservices, and Core Java. You will be responsible for ensuring service stability, driving operational excellence, managing incidents and changes, and aligning technology services with business objectives. You will collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams to enhance application reliability, performance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end application services for React.js, Spring Boot Microservices, and Core Java platforms, ensuring service availability, performance, and operational excellence.
- Lead incident, problem, change, and release management activities, driving timely resolution of issues and successful production deployments.
- Monitor application health, performance metrics, and capacity trends, implementing improvements to enhance reliability, scalability, and user experience.
- Partner with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to prioritize service enhancements and align technology solutions with organizational goals.
- Drive root cause analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, knowledge management, and operational best practices across support and delivery teams.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Application Support, Service Delivery, or IT Service Management roles.
- Strong hands-on expertise with React.js, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, and Core Java.
- Experience managing incident, problem, change, release, and service request processes within enterprise environments.
- Solid understanding of application monitoring, performance optimization, production support, and operational governance.
- Exposure to merchandising, retail, inventory management, pricing, or related business domains is preferred.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and leadership skills.
Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $65K to $115k depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
