Salesforce Solution Architect
About the Role
As a Salesforce Solution Architect, you will make an impact by defining and delivering end-to-end Salesforce solutions that align with business strategy and enterprise-wide technology standards. You will be a valued member of our Salesforce practice and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, development teams, and program leadership to ensure the successful delivery of complex, scalable Salesforce implementations with a strong focus on Financial Services Cloud (FSC) and industry clouds.
In this role, you will:
- Lead end-to-end Salesforce architecture across the Salesforce Platform, Service Cloud, Financial Services Cloud (FSC), and industry clouds — including mapping out-of-the-box solutions to business requirements within Salesforce FSC Claims.
- Design and deliver scalable, best-practice solutions leveraging Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, Integration APIs, Platform Events, and Salesforce-native capabilities.
- Architect enterprise integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MuleSoft, middleware, and event-driven patterns, ensuring seamless connectivity across the technology landscape.
- Establish governance frameworks, including data architecture, security models, DevOps strategies, and deployment pipelines, to underpin reliable and compliant solution delivery.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development and delivery teams, while conducting architecture reviews, technical assessments, and solution design workshops with both internal and client stakeholders.
Work Model
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto, ON. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.
What You Need to Have to Be Considered
- Proven experience as a Salesforce Solution Architect or Senior Technical Lead, with a strong track record of delivering end-to-end Salesforce implementations at enterprise scale.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC), Service Cloud, and Salesforce Platform — including FSC Claims, data models, and industry-specific configuration.
- Demonstrated ability to design and build integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MuleSoft, middleware technologies, and event-driven architecture patterns.
- Strong command of Salesforce development technologies, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and Platform Events, with the ability to evaluate build-vs-configure trade-offs.
- Experience establishing data architecture, security models, DevOps practices, and deployment strategies for complex Salesforce programs, including governance and compliance considerations.
These Will Help You Stand Out
- Active Salesforce certifications, such as Salesforce Certified Application Architect, System Architect, or CTA (Certified Technical Architect).
- Experience working in or architecting solutions for the Financial Services or Insurance industry, particularly in claims or policy management domains.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and the ability to translate architectural decisions into executive-level communication.
- Proven ability to lead solution design workshops and technical assessments with both business and IT stakeholders in large-scale transformation programs.
- Experience in a consulting or professional services environment, working across multiple client engagements simultaneously.
