Job Summary
This hybrid day shift role for TL Pharmacovigilance focuses on end-to-end safety oversight across pharma research and development activities, coordinating PV data management and case processing to ensure accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and continuous risk evaluation. The role demands 4 to 6 years of experience and enables impactful contributions to patient safety and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for day-to-day work.
- Tracking of activities daily for the project.
- Timely reporting of metrics and updating related quality tools/trackers for deliverables. Setting performance goals for the team.
- Maintenance of case tracking sheets for billing and deliverables.
- Ensure appropriate distribution of work among direct reports.
- Ensure proper communication with client (as applicable).
- Ensure completion of training plan and mentoring documentation archival for all direct reports.
- Mentoring and coaching of the team as well as the new hires on a regular basis or as required.
- Ensure that SLAs and KPIs are maintained as per contractual agreement.
- Perform annual performance appraisals of direct reports and provide regular feedback to the team.
- Reporting to their supervisor on performance, status, and any escalations for the team.
- Responsible for motivation and retention of the team.
- Communication of resource issues/resignations/absconder to supervisor.
- Managing assessment and development of team members.
- Ensure audit readiness at all times.
- Ensure adherence to internal and client procedures for self and team.
- Ensuring training compliance and proper documentation is maintained.
- Lead/guide associates in process improvement initiatives in agreement with client.
Basic Qualifications
- Graduate/Postgraduate/Doctorate degree in Life Sciences, Science, Healthcare, Pharmacy, Medical Sciences, or equivalent degree.
- Minimum 3 years of total experience in PV and/or the pharmaceutical/clinical field, including:
- Minimum 1 year of experience handling teams for external hires, or
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the Novartis engagement for internal promotion/re-hire.
- Fluency in English.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to perform tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
- Leadership and people management skills.
- Self and team motivation.
- Result-oriented.
- Metric management.
Certifications Required
- Preferred certification in pharmacovigilance or drug safety, such as DSRM or equivalent industry-recognized PV credential.
