About the Role:
The Language and Local Policy Expert will be a crucial, embedded resource providing linguistic and cultural expertise to support the accurate and efficient execution of our labeling project, specifically focusing on data originating from Germany runs. This role ensures labeling policies and training materials accurately reflect local context, regulations, and language nuances, directly impacting data quality and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
· Fluent in German (C2/Native) and English (B2/C1 or higher).
· Strong understanding of German culture, public infrastructure, traffic regulations, and road signage.
· 1+ years of experience in localization, translation, language quality, policy, content operations, or a related field.
· Experience working in a quality-focused, operational, or data-driven environment.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear guidance.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
· Experience creating, reviewing, or improving documentation, guidelines, or training materials.
· Ability to collaborate effectively with international teams across different time zones.
· Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of projects and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
o Serve as the German language and market expert for autonomous driving data projects, ensuring local relevance and accuracy.
o Translate, review, and localize policies, guidelines, and training materials for the German market. Partner with Quality and Policy teams to identify trends, reduce errors, and continuously improve labeling standards.
o Provide expert guidance on German traffic regulations, road signage, and cultural context to improve data quality.
o Support operations teams by resolving complex language or policy-related cases and driving consistent decision-making.
o Deliver knowledge-sharing sessions and training to enhance team understanding of German-specific requirements.
o Analyze quality insights and operational challenges, recommending improvements to processes, policies, and training.
o Act as the key point of contact for the German market, taking ownership of outcomes and stakeholder collaboration.
