About the role
In this role, you will:
- Own the end‑to‑end technical architecture for the ServiceNow platform, ensuring scalability, maintainability, security, and performance across all modules.
- Lead the creation of High‑Level Designs (HLDs) and Low‑Level Designs (LLDs) for complex, global and multi‑instance ServiceNow environments.
- Translate strategic business and technology objectives into actionable architectural roadmaps and platform blueprints.
- Drive and enforce technical governance, best practices, and architectural standards across all platform initiatives.
- Act as the highest technical escalation point, providing guidance on integrations, performance tuning, security, and data modelling.

What you need to have to be considered
- Active ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) – mandatory.
- Fluency in Dutch - Mandatory
- 8+ years of hands‑on experience in ServiceNow design, development, and implementation.
- 3–5+ years as a Platform or Enterprise Architect delivering large‑scale ServiceNow programs.
- Deep expertise across multiple ServiceNow suites (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, SPM, SecOps).
- Strong knowledge of platform security (ACLs, encryption), scripting (JavaScript/GlideScript), data modelling, Flow Designer, Service Portal, ATF, Integration Hub, Now Experience, NowAssist and NowCreate.
- Proven track record designing and governing complex integrations, APIs, and enterprise data models (CMDB, CSDM).
- Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders and presenting architectural decisions at executive level.
These will help you stand out
- Additional ServiceNow certifications (CAD, CIS – ITSM/HRSD/ITOM/etc.).
- Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
- Experience working within Agile and DevOps delivery environments.
- Fluency in English & Dutch; knowledge of additional EU languages is a plus.
