Role Overview:
The ServiceNow Platform Architect / Consultant is responsible for designing, governing, and evolving the ServiceNow platform as an enterprise-grade capability. The role ensures architectural integrity, scalability, security, and alignment with business objectives across all ServiceNow modules and integrations, typically operating within a ServiceNow Center of Excellence (CoE).


Key Responsibilities:
1. Define platform architecture, design standards, and technical guardrails for ServiceNow.
2. Act as design authority for ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, SecOps, SPM, and custom applications.
3. Govern configuration vs customization decisions to minimize technical debt.
4. Define integration patterns, data models, CMDB (CSDM) alignment, and security standards.
5. Review solution designs, perform architecture assessments, and approve builds.
6. Guide platform upgrades, release planning, and environment strategy.
7. Collaborate with AI, UX, Value, and Delivery leads to ensure platform alignment.
8. Provide consulting support to business and technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:
1. 10–12+ years of experience in ServiceNow or enterprise platform architecture roles.
2. Strong experience across core ServiceNow modules and custom app development.
3. Deep understanding of CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, integrations, and security.
4. Experience operating within ServiceNow CoE or large enterprise programs.
5. Ability to translate business requirements into scalable platform designs.
6. Strong stakeholder communication and consulting skills.


Education & Certifications:
ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CIS, CAD, or Platform Architecture certs are preferred.
ITIL certification is a plus.
