About the Role
We're looking for a Field Support Representative I to join our IT support team, delivering hands-on technical support across office, manufacturing, and lab environments. You'll be the go-to person for end-user support, hardware/software deployment, and site infrastructure needs — helping keep our people and systems running smoothly every day.
What You'll Do
Core Support
- Handle Install, Move, Add, Change (IMAC) requests, break-fix issues, and general end-user support
- Support manufacturing "shop-floor" devices including handhelds, laptops, and scanners
- Perform data collection and preservation for migrations and eDiscovery activities
- Stage, build, and image systems using the standard client image (eCore)
- Install and configure hardware/software components for end-user usability
Site & Infrastructure Support
- Provide "smart hands and feet" support across teams on demand
- Rack and stack support for commissioning/decommissioning infrastructure devices
- Grant vendor access to site communication rooms (IDF/MDF/MMR) and Data Center/server rooms
- Support power shutdown maintenance activities, including safely shutting down network devices and servers in the Data Center
- Coordinate cable patching with vendors as needed
- Ensure LAN, Wi-Fi, video conferencing (Tandberg), printer, and voice services are functioning on-site
Asset & Vendor Management
- Manage full IT asset lifecycle for the location/region: collection, secure storage, labeling, imaging, allocation, recovery, hygiene validation, disposal, and system updates
- Manage printer fleet usage and coordinate with vendors for continuity of print services
Manufacturing & Lab Environments
- Support manufacturing and lab IT systems, including scanners, printers, tablets, PCs connected to specialized test equipment, and line-side PCs
- Work effectively within Clean Room and/or manufacturing environments
What You'll Need
Required:
- Strong communication and customer support skills
- Solid analytical and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong working knowledge of Windows OS
- Working knowledge of MS Office and common business applications
- Minimum 2 years of deskside support experience
- Basic knowledge of networks, telecom, and compute/storage
- Basic knowledge of mobile device support
Preferred:
- Experience supporting manufacturing, lab, or distribution center IT environments
- Advanced communication skills for coordinating with multiple teams and OEMs on high-priority issues
- Advanced Microsoft skills (e.g., server support)
- Prior experience in Clean Room or manufacturing settings
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
